This project aims to design the best mix of energy sources without causing any damage to the environment and to contribute to Japan and the world in creating a better future society. From the viewpoints of politics, economy, science, technology, and security, the project proposes a new energy management strategy. In the project, renewable energy technologies -- photovoltaic power generation, wind-power generation, wave power generation, transmission technology (direct current transmission), energy storage technology (hydrogen storage) -- are examined and the energy management strategy will be devised for mass introduction of the renewable energies. In addition, for education in the field of renewable energy, the Green Power Skill Standard (GPSS) has been established for developing a framework and improving a business environment.
