Taking over the project ‘Contemporary China Research Base’ that ended in FY2022, the purpose of this project is to establish a multi-disciplinary and cross-departmental research team that tackles current issues facing China and make a world-class research hub on contemporary China. Through robust research activities, the project will engage in international research collaboration and dissemination of research results to the public. This project collaborates with faculty members engaged in Chinese studies both inside and outside UTokyo. We are creating a website and holding courses on modern China that makes research results available to the general public in an easy-to-understand manner.
