Life expectancy will soon reach 90, and such a time calls for elderly¡¯s prolonged active life in the local community, improvement of their QOL, and maintaining and promoting their social involvement. To this aim, the Institute of Gerontology, a center of Gerontology education and research, brings together 9 Departments and 30 Courses to host the Graduate Program in Gerontology, Global Leadership Initiative for an Age-Friendly Society to train both master and doctorate level students into global leaders in gerontology.
