Campus network is an important infrastructure supporting research and education, and maintaining the balance between flexibility for research and security of confidential information is important. This network is expected to provide high levels of convenience and safety, regardless of user's physical location. In this research, we use a new technique, called SDN (Software Defined Networking), and provide a flexible network management system. In this system, users can control the network topology and security of divided networks. Each user is properly authenticated, and even if the environment and the physical places of users change, the network environment based on the user's property and request is provided. In this research, we establish the new network management method for a campus and academic network using cloud environments. The achievements of this project will be deployed in the real operation of the campus networking at the University of Tokyo. Furthermore, we plan to host seminars to explain the new system and educate IT engineers for campus network as a human resources development activity.
